These PLA-lined containers use a corn-based resin lining instead of a petroleum-based plastic lining to provide a barrier against liquid leakage. They are certified compostable by BPI (Biodegradable Products Institute) to compost within 180 days in a commercial compost facility.  A compostable food container that is made from plants, and makes a perfect deli container for hot or cold foods!  A great hot food container for curry, oatmeal, rice dishes, beans, etc. Or use it as a cold food container for granola, yogurt, fruit, salads, or veggies! Great for take-out foods and even better for the environment!
